Job Summary
The
Sr. Project Manager
is responsible for supporting company-wide strategic programs and projects that sustain organizational growth and scalability. This role provides project management delivery and governance, ensuring that the right frameworks are in place for successful project outcomes (e.g., project charters, project plans, clear objectives, etc.). The
Sr. Project Manager
will collaborate across business units, drive execution, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead Cross-Functional Projects: Independently manage projects from inception to completion across business units such as finance, accounting, clinical operations, and revenue cycle management, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Technology Implementation: Drive implementation of practice management systems (DPMS), revenue cycle tools, imaging platforms, digital marketing, clinical AI tools, and other enterprise applications—coordinating IT, operations, training, and vendor partners to ensure smooth rollouts.
- Project Governance: Establish and enforce project management rigor by creating project charters, workplans, timelines, budgets, and risk registers; monitor progress and escalate issues proactively.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate collaboration across clinical, operations, IT, and finance teams, ensuring clarity of objectives, roles, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Change Management: Partner with business owners and practice leaders to develop training, adoption, and communication plans that minimize disruption and maximize project success.
- Methodology Application: Apply Agile and Waterfall methodologies appropriately; lead sprint planning sessions, stand-ups, and retrospectives where applicable.
- Technology Integration: Ensure that new technology solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with HIPAA and organizational policies; work closely with IT on system integrations and testing.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve scalability, and embed best practices into project management standards.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Coordinate with external technology vendors and consultants, ensuring delivery against scope, budget, and performance expectations.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide timely updates to leadership and stakeholders, including executive-ready status reports, dashboards, and post-implementation reviews.
- Operate with Urgency & Precision: Demonstrate strong attention to detail, prioritization skills, and the ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-growth DSO environment.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably within healthcare, dental, or multi-site service organizations.
- PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects across multiple departments.
- Strong knowledge of project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with a hands-on execution mindset.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Asana).
