Job Summary

D&D Tax Master Services (DDTMS) is hiring Remote Tax Preparers for the upcoming tax season. This is a 1099 contractor, commission-based opportunity where you work from home, set your own schedule, and earn based on the number of funded returns you complete.

No experience is required — we provide full training and onboarding hub access, along with scripts, tools, and workflow systems designed to support your success.

We are seeking proactive, results-driven self-starters who can work independently, follow established procedures, and communicate professionally with clients.

Compensation is per funded return:

  • New preparers earn $200 per funded return
  • Experienced preparers earn up to $245 per funded return
  • 5%–10% prep-fee bonuses based on return fee
  • Discounted returns pay $50 flat rate
  • End-of-season bonus: $150–$750

(The hourly range shown is an estimated equivalent based on average return volume.)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate individual tax returns using company-approved software
  • Guide clients through the intake process using DDTMS scripts
  • Communicate with clients professionally and respond to questions promptly
  • Follow established workflow, documentation, and compliance procedures
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all client information
  • Maintain accurate records and submit completed returns for review when required
  • Utilize the DDTMS onboarding hub, tools, scripts, and training as needed
  • Manage workload independently while meeting deadlines during peak season

Qualifications

  • No prior tax experience required — training is provided
  • Proactive, results-driven self-starter with strong time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong adherence to procedures and compliance
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate online systems
  • PTIN required before tax season begins (guidance on application provided)
  • Laptop/desktop, reliable internet, and smartphone required
  • Experience in customer service, sales, financial services, or administrative roles is a plus but not required
