Our contracted Pet Care Professionals travel directly to clients' homes to execute comprehensive pet sitting services based on specific client instructions. We offer peace of mind for on-the-go pet parents.

Primary Service Area

This position primarily serves Northwest Charlotte, NC, covering a 10-mile radius (with potential for expansion) from the intersection of Mount Holly-Huntersville Road and Highway 16 (Brookshire Blvd).

  • Key Neighborhoods: Mountain Island, Paw Creek, and parts of Charlotte, Mount Holly, Denver, Stanley, and Huntersville.

Contract Services Offered

We offer two flexible contract service types, ideal for candidates seeking supplementary income:

1. Pet Sitting Visits (Part-Time Contract)

  • Duties: Make 1–4 visits per day to clients' homes to walk, feed, provide enrichment, and administer basic care while clients are away for work or vacation.
  • Compensation: $12.50 – $18.00 per hour (for visit time only).
  • Availability Requirement: Must be available for a minimum of two weekends per month and during major holidays. Holiday work is required and compensated at a premium rate. (Major holidays include: Thanksgiving and/or Christmas, Easter and/or July 4th, and Memorial Day and/or Labor Day.)

2. Overnight Pet Care (Contract, 9 PM – 7 AM)

  • Service: Stay overnight at the client's home for a guaranteed 10-hour stay (9:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
  • Duties: Feeding, walking, administering medication, and spending quality time with the pet.
  • Schedule Note: This service is ideal for someone with a full-time day job. Overnights typically include a paid late afternoon/dinner visit and may include an optional midday walk, providing additional earning potential.

Requirements to Join Our Team

To be successful with PAWSitive Solutions, you must be reliable, professional, and committed:

  • Transportation: Have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Communication: Own a smartphone with internet access and be able to respond promptly to emails, texts, and calls.
  • Familiarity: Be knowledgeable about or willing to quickly learn our Northwest Charlotte service areas.
  • Commitment: Commit to working with us for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Integrity: Be able to provide verifiable professional references.

Summary & Logistics

  • Service Zoning: Our service area is divided into zones. Sitter assignments are initially based on need, with the opportunity over time to build your own client base in your preferred zone.
  • Minimized Travel: We strive to keep assignments close to your home to maximize earnings. Most visits are within 3–10 miles, with a maximum travel distance of 15 miles (unless you agree to travel further).
  • Note: For overnight stays, travel distance can be greater since the sitter remains at the client's home.
