Join Nitro's Engineering Team
The Engineering Team at Nitro is responsible for building high-performance, scalable solutions that drive our product innovation. We are now looking for a Software Engineer Intern to support our team in developing and optimising software solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our engineers and cross-functional teams to contribute to the design, development, and improvement of key systems.
What You'll Do
- Assist in developing and optimising cloud-deployed applications primarily written in Python.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to build and improve features.
- Help debug, test, and ensure the performance of existing software solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews, ensuring best practices and clean, maintainable code.
- Support the development of new functionalities based on product requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Strong interest in bringing product features to life through software engineering.
- Familiarity with Python and object-oriented programming principles.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming or frameworks such as FastAPI or Django is desired but not required.
- A basic knowledge of functional programming concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Familiarity with version control systems (for example: Git).
- Basic knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and system design principles.
