The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all accounting, finance, and costing functions at our Fife, WA facility. This role requires a meticulous approach to ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and the establishment of robust financial controls across the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment and will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and supporting operational efficiency. This position requires an analytical mindset and will demonstrate integrity, confidence, and a strong focus on organizational goals.
What you'll be doing as a Senior Accountant:
- Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Lead month-end and year-end close of accounts, including issuance of financial statements.
- Prepare daily/monthly financial and other reporting as well as ad-hoc analysis as required.
- Review and analyze CapEx requests and maintain fixed asset sub-ledger.
- Analyze and allocate manufacturing costs, establishing standards and reviewing cost variances.
- Oversee accuracy in payroll operations, including timesheet reconciliation.
- Oversee accuracy in accounts payable and accounts receivable operations including reserves.
- Maintain inventory valuation and ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions.
- Verify monthly COGS accuracy.
- Work with operations team to ensure accurate BOMs and routers for finished goods.
- Work with commercial team to analyze and report on customer/part profitability.
- Work with all teams for forecasting and adherence to plans.
- Lead inventory cycle count program and reporting of results.
- Manage monthly/quarterly tax filings, annual business licenses, and property tax filings.
- Maintain intercompany transactions and prepare associated reconciliations.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
- Support external auditors and regulatory agencies during financial audits and reviews.
- Provide direct support to the Finance team on budgets, special projects, and issue resolution.
- Implement procedures to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Adhere to workplace safety guidelines, company policies, and relevant state and federal regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications (Education, skills, and experience):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA/CMA certification is a plus, but not required.
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing accounting/finance environment as an accountant preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
- Ability to maintain focus, adaptability, and task completion amidst interruptions.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel for financial analysis, reporting, and communication.
- Strong ethics and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:
A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
Employee Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, long-term disability and 401(k) with up to 6% QACA company match.
The Senior Accountant Compensation range for onsite Washington applicants is $95,000 - $105,000 annually commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
