An established nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming public education is seeking an enthusiastic Recruiter to join its growing team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work remotely four days per week, with one day dedicated to in-person community engagement and events. In this position, you will play a critical role in expanding the organization's network, cultivating meaningful community connections, and supporting efforts to attract high-quality candidates. The ideal candidate is passionate about education and people and motivated to connect talented professionals with schools making a lasting impact. This role combines strategic sourcing, relationship management, and community engagement, and offers a salary of $60-70k along with a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 403(b)-retirement plan with employer match.

Key responsibilities of the Recruiter:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, community partners, and local organizations to attract and engage top talent.
  • Design and implement outreach strategies to build a sustainable pipeline for teaching and school-based roles.
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and community gatherings.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and leadership to understand staffing needs and refine recruitment strategies.
  • Promote the organization's mission and programs to increase awareness and attract qualified candidates.
  • Manage candidate outreach, interviews, and evaluations while maintaining accurate data and tracking recruitment metrics.
  • Support candidates throughout the hiring process, providing guidance and ensuring a positive experience.

Qualifications of the Recruiter:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in education, non-profit, or community-based settings.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships and engaging diverse candidate pools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable representing the organization at public events.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, CRMs, and digital recruitment tools.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a strong commitment to educational equity.
  • Willingness to travel locally within Lake County for community engagement (approximately one day per week).
