About You

You care about design, performance, and the quiet details that make technology feel effortless. You have built web applications, creative software, or a multiplayer experience where precision, creativity, and collaboration matter.

The Challenge

In this role, you will set the course for a backend architecture and maximize team velocity. You will be stepping into an environment with an existing 
Golang/AWS Serverless
 backend where you will:

  • Lead the charge on an incremental transition to a simpler, developer-friendly 
    Typescript Fullstack
     architecture,
    tightly integrated with the frontend, to unlock a dev speed boost.
  • Empower our team to develop, version, and deploy whole features—spanning frontend and backend—without delicate coordination between systems.
  • Maintain and integrate with the existing, powerful Golang/AWS Lambda constellation responsible for complex functions like video transcoding, AI integration, and media processing.

What You Bring

  • Deep experience with 
    Golang

and 
TypeScript / JavaScript
- A clear philosophy for fullstack design and developer experience
- Strong knowledge of 
AWS Serverless

, including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and SNS
- Familiarity with 
media workflows

such as video ingestion, transcoding, and AI model integration
- Experience with 
real-time collaboration systems

, including websockets or WebRTC
- Understanding of 
scalable file I/O

, proxy management, and multi-user session handling
- Knowledge of 
FFmpeg

, Web APIs, codecs, video streaming, and compression standards
- Awareness of 
OpenTimelineIO

, 
OFX

, or other interchange standards is a plus
- Bonus experience building 
creative tools

Electron applications
