Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing installations meet safety standards, building codes, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.

Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise plumbing layouts.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble plumbing components.
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation processes.
  • Conduct system inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC technicians during remodeling or new construction projects.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics and field notes for future reference.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a strong background in construction plumbing projects.
  • Valid journeyman license or certification in plumbing or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems, remodeling processes, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license with commercial driving certification preferred for field service assignments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Previous experience working on construction sites with knowledge of safety protocols is highly desirable.
