Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled LMS Administrator to oversee and maintain our Learning Management System infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing system architecture, ensuring security, and supporting seamless integration with various IT systems. This role requires a strong background in system administration, IT infrastructure, and solution architecture, with a focus on delivering reliable and scalable e-learning platforms. The LMS Administrator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and implement best practices in system design and security.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the LMS platform, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Oversee system architecture, including RAID controller configurations, virtualization (VMware, ESXi), and cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
  • Implement and support IT infrastructure components like DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, load balancing, and network security protocols.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, RESTful services, microservices architecture, and integrations with third-party systems such as Pegasystems.
  • Administer databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Automate deployment pipelines using DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, CI/CD processes, scripting languages (Bash, Shell Scripting), Python, PowerShell.
  • Monitor system health using tools like VMware vSphere/ESXi, Kubernetes for container orchestration, and system management tools.
  • Ensure compliance with information security standards by managing firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and security patches.
  • Support system upgrades and migrations while adhering to SDLC best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support solution architecture involving JavaScript, Java, .NET frameworks, REST APIs, and microservices.
  • Maintain documentation for system design, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced certifications preferred (e.g., VMware Certified Professional (VCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
  • Proven experience in system administration within complex IT environments involving virtualization (VMware/ESXi), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and containerization (Kubernetes).
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP; experience with firewalls and VPN configuration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash shell scripting, Python; experience with automation tools like Jenkins and Git.
  • Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle; understanding of SQL/T-SQL/PL/SQL.
  • Experience designing scalable solutions using microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of information security principles including access controls, encryption standards, firewall management.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment with a focus on SDLC processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to collaborate across teams effectively. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120, $140,000.00 per year
