About the job: Responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, wrapping, and rotating all surgical and procedural instruments to ensure proper infection control and readiness for use. Operates and maintains sterilization equipment, including autoclave, cold sterilization systems, and gas sterilization units. Follows strict protocols for handling and storing instruments to maintain sterility and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize all surgical and procedural instruments according to clinic protocols and industry standards.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclave, cold sterilization systems, and gas sterilization units.
• Proper handling of orthopedic surgical equipment, endoscopy scopes and other delicate equipment
• Inspect instruments for damage or wear and report any issues promptly.
• Wrap and package instruments for sterilization and proper storage.
• Maintain accurate rotation of instruments to ensure readiness for procedures.
• Handle instruments with care to prevent contamination and maintain sterility.
• Monitor and document sterilization cycles and equipment performance.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in instrument processing, sterilization, or a similar role preferred 
• Veterinary medicine experience preferred
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques, including autoclave, cold, and gas sterilization methods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Schedule: Three 10-hour shifts.  Must work Monday and Friday, other day is negotiable, 9:00am - 7:00pm

Salary: $ $23.00 / hour based on experience
