Position Title: Senior Supervisor    

Department: Administration

Reports To: Director of Care Integration

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a senior level position that reports to the Director of Care Integration. This position is responsible for implementing and managing Case Management (CM) and Recovery Support Services (RSS) for Drug Medi-Cal patients.

CATEGORIES OF DUTIES
  1. Develop and maintain policies and procedures for CM and RSS and train TTC staff.
  1. Manage CM and RSS services organization-wide in collaboration with Patient Care Directors and Supervisors.
  1. Supervise CM and RSS staff, if any, that are independent of SUD programs and directly assigned to a CM and RSS Department.
  1. Attend SAPC meetings that include CM and RSS content.
  1. Networks externally to develop contacts and collaborations
  1. Develops effective outreach programs to recruit patients into RSS.
  1. Ensures the timely completion of all Department grant writing assignments and provides weekly summary reports on past and present grant writing activities.
  1. Participates   in  weekly  meeting   with  COO  and   Director  of  PDD   to  discuss  grants   weekly summary report and any barriers associated with the timely completion of all grant writing assignments.
  1. As appropriate, Involved in the hiring, retention, education, evaluation, discipline, timekeeping and overall competency of CM and RSS staff and consultants.
  1. Ensures proper assessments of patients at time of admission and re-assessments as required
  1. Ensures proper diagnoses and treatment recommendations are completed based on a review of the patient's history, signs and symptoms
  1. Ensures proper documentation is in the medical record of services rendered
  1. Development of systems to streamline, manage, monitor responsibilities, and evaluate CM and RSS. 
  2. Ensures proper treatment planning
  3. Participates in medical record reviews
  4. Conducts Utilization review activities as required
  5. Ensures and maintains knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements (i.e., suspected abuse; Tarasoff), professional boundaries and related issues.
  6. Attend and participate in supervisor-level agency wide committees and meetings as indicated. In absence of Director leads supervisory and other department staff meetings as needed.

  7. Attend as necessary in-service, educational and capacity building trainings.

  8. Other duties as indicated or assigned by Director and/or CEO.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

Master's degree in health related field. A minimum five (5) years experience in health related field, program development department, and/or in a supervisory capacity. Individual must possess excellent  knowledge  of   grant writing and fundraising for non profit organizations. Excellent knowledge of MS software products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and their application to grant writing process and procedures.
