SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Behavioral Heath Technician (BHT) is a member of the multidisciplinary team with East Coast Recovery, who is directly involved in providing quality care for clients. Our Behavioral Health Technicians are in direct contact with our clients who are transitioning from an active addiction lifestyle to recovery. A professional and strong compassionate mindset are a must as well as a current, valid drivers license with a clean record. The BHT is responsible for providing structure during the clinical day. The BHT works within the facilities policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards of the State and Federal regulations.

  • Ensure clients attend scheduled groups and activities
  • Provide transportation to and from clinical and other places as necessary
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the clients and the facility
  • Address negative behaviors with a positive attitude
  • Documents client information in EMR using appropriate forms in a timely manner
  • Assists in emergency situations as directed
  • Understands and maintains confidentiality of client information and records
  • Recognizes crisis situations and provides appropriate interventions based on training and experience
  • Conduct and/or monitor educational groups as assigned
  • Supervise client activities including on breaks
  • Perform maintenance/cleaning and monitor/direct clients into maintaining their areas clean and orderly
  • Supervise clients during activities off site
  • Inspect packages and mail
  • Monitor urine drug screens
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check and urine analysis

  • Must be able to walk, bend, stand, climb stairs, speak English, hear, use a telephone, drive an automobile, and operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copier and fax machine. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
