Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Design, construct, fabricate, assemble, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems (primarily hydraulic, electrical and computer based equipment)
- Perform a variety of tests utilizing electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and similar type systems and equipment
- Support commissioning of new test equipment
- Work with/from schematics, engineering drawings, written and/or verbal instructions
- Operate related equipment
- Analyse data to determine whether instrumentation is functioning correctly upon installation
- Perform calibration and alignment checks, planning, modifications, and replacements as required
- Work effectively and supportively in a team environment while being able to work independently with minimal oversight
- Work with potentially hazardous equipment or on potentially hazardous test activities, following all safety equipment and processes mandated for those activities to complete them safely
- Work directly with internal customers in a supportive and positive manner
- Work in dynamic and deadline driven environment
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited university is required, with 5-8 years of relevant experience
Required Skills
- Experience designing mechanical/electrical/hydraulic test systems
- Experience assembling mechanical/electrical/hydraulic test systems
- Experience working with mechanical/electrical/hydraulic test systems
- Experience working with computer systems
- Experience installing and working with instrumentation and test equipment
- Ability to work from drawings and schematics
- Ability to design and fabricate items required with minimal oversight
- Experience working with various hand, power and machine shop tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a test lab and/or flight test environment is a benefit
- Programming and PLC experience
