What You'll Do:

SUMMARY: Under general supervision, will maintenance and maintain the plant grounds and equipment. This position is outside work, and includes general cleaning and maintenance of loader, facility grounds and other duties as assigned. Also must complete a pre-employment screening.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

· Ability to understand and comply with simple written and oral instructions given in the English language

· Ability to work cooperatively with dispatchers, all drivers to include lease trucks

· Ability to work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others

· Ability to work under hazardous conditions where physical danger exists due to heavy traffic, mechanical equipment and conveyors

· Ability to detect necessary loader repairs by (visually and/or orally) perceiving malfunctions

· Make fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of a control mechanism

· Move heavy objects (50 pounds or more) long distances (more than 20 feel)

· Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements

· Perform tasks in and around heavy traffic

· Performance may require exposure to prolonged high noise levels

· Maintain safe, courteous driving techniques

· Maintain customer relations and public image

REQUIREMENTS:

· Possess a valid Texas drivers license with an acceptable driving record

· Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally as well as on a two-way radio

· Required to pass a physical exam

· Required to pass pre-employment drug testing

· Prospective employees will be subject to unannounced drug and alcohol testing as a condition of continued employment with Ingram Readymix

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Work out of doors in extreme temperatures and in extreme high traffic and sometimes compact areas. May be exposed to cement, sand diesel, coolants, dusts and truck washing soaps

JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Will require walking on uneven ground

· Ability to talk and listen to hand radio over loader noise

· Clean and inspect equipment

· Use needed soap cleaners to scrub and wash equipment which requires climbing in and on equipment and under loader and for visual inspections

· Make Minor Repairs, use hand tools (wrenches, drills, wire cutters, etc.) to make minor repairs and/or adjustments

· Hear and see violations or safety or proper operational requirements

· Shovel, sweep, use a water hose and bend to pick up for general plant cleanup

Physical Requirements:

· In the course of a day, driver will sit, stand, bend/stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl push/pull, squat, reach above his/her shoulders, and lift up to 100 pounds with possibility of working extended hours
