Job Description:
- Mid Florida Cancer Centers is a comprehensive Hematology & Oncology practice with four locations in Orange City, Deland, Oviedo, and Sanford. Our physicians offer a wide range of services with the goal to provide our patients with the highest quality of care and patient experience.
- Mid Florida Cancer Centers is seeking out-going Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist. Previous experience in medical reception is preferred. We will give you onsite training and teach you the skills if you are diligent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, fast-paced, and a quick learner.
- The ideal candidate will understand the importance of good customer service, and will be primarily working in our Orange City location but is also willing to travel between our 4 locations. (Orange City, Deland, Sanford and Oviedo) as needed for coverage.
Front Desk Job Responsibilities:
Greets and directs all patients within the practice.
Obtaining patient demographic and verifying insurance information at each visit.
Collect Co-Pays and any other balances at the time of visit.
Obtaining necessary patient information to meet current Federal guidelines and Meaningful Use guidelines for electronic medical records.
Making copies of insurance/ID cards to be uploaded into patient charts.
Obtaining patient authorization for medical records release (HIPAA compliance).
Answering incoming calls and route them as needed.
Open/Close office lobby at the start and end of each day.
Willing to travel on an as needed basis.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of common office computer programs; Word, Excel, Internet.
Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMR)
Answering & Routing calls.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Must be able to work independently and multitask.
Cash handling experience preferred.
**Bilingual (Spanish) required
Education/Experience:
Minimum High School Diploma.
At least 1 year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
