Job Summary And Qualifications

  • You will maintain 24-hour accountability for clinical, operational, and nursing management oversight for Behavioral Services
  • You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all phases of nursing care provided on the program
  • You will determine staffing requirements and material resources necessary to provide care to the patients on the program
  • You will provide supervision of, assesses and evaluates the competence and performance of the nursing personnel, maintain regulatory compliance at all times, and participate in the recruitment and community education process

What qualifications you will need:

  • Possess a Master's Degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing or its equivalent from an accredited school of nursing preferred
  • License as a Registered Nurse in Nevada required
  • Current and Active BLS Certification
  • Completion of CPI Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Active ANCC Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing preferred
  • Five years of psychiatric nursing experience as a registered nurse preferred
  • Three years of psychiatric nursing leadership experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of current behavioral health concepts, principles and methods of treatment required
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing
