Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, ensuring all areas meet established cleanliness standards
  • Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver top-quality service with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Schedule staff shifts efficiently to meet fluctuating occupancy levels and operational needs
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment
  • Enforce health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all team members
  • Collaborate with other departments to address guest requests promptly and resolve any cleanliness issues swiftly

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial cleaning environments
  • Strong background in housekeeper management or supervisory roles in hotels or similar settings
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques and various cleaning methods for different surfaces
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and guest service excellence
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team and foster a positive work environment
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with effective communication skills
