Food Runner

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner / Busser to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support our restaurant operations by delivering food to guests, clearing tables, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prepared food promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean dining environment.
• Assist servers with guest needs, including refilling drinks and providing additional utensils or condiments.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining area, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and organizing table settings.
• Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic kitchen assistance or setup for service.
• Uphold food safety standards by handling food properly and maintaining hygiene protocols.
• Assist with banquet or special event setups when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, banquet, or hospitality environments is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of food handling safety and proper sanitation practices.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
• Basic familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Experience with food preparation, bussing, or kitchen support roles is beneficial.
• Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards guest service and colleagues.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $7.50 - $9.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
