Sr. Program Manager – Acquisition Support
Overview:
The Senior Program Manager shall provide program management and acquisition support to a Department of Defense (DoD) Program Management Office (PMO). The applicant shall apply expert knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, policy, and program execution to ensure compliance, efficiency, and mission success.
Responsibilities:
- Determine appropriate acquisition approaches using the DoD 5000 Adaptive Acquisition Framework.
- Develop, review, and coordinate acquisition documentation, including Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Program Baselines, and Acquisition Decision Memorandums.
- Ensure compliance with DoD 5000 series, OMB circulars, Defense Acquisition Guide, and DoD planning/scheduling guidelines.
- Provide subject matter expertise in acquisition strategy development, execution, and evaluation.
- Support program execution by coordinating with stakeholders (Resource Sponsors, Requirements Officers, Operational Test Authorities, etc.).
- Draft and evaluate acquisition documents, ensuring integration across technical, cost, schedule, and performance domains.
- Conduct program risk assessments and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Develop, maintain, and synchronize integrated master schedules to support Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development.
- Provide senior-level support in documentation, reporting, briefing preparation, and strategic communication activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of government acquisition experience (preferably ACAT I or ACAT II programs).
- Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, program management, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to evaluate acquisition strategies, program documentation, and scheduling activities.
- Superior communication, writing, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in technical, business, or management field.
- PMP, DAWIA Level II, or equivalent certification preferred.
- U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance required (Top Secret preferred).
Salary range: $120,000 – $180,000 DOE
Security Clearance Requirement: Secret
