Our client, a well-established
Commercial General Contractor headquartered in Houston
, is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to lead ground-up and interior build-out projects across the Greater Houston area. This is a strong opportunity for a driven construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in delivering high-quality commercial projects.

About the Company

Our client is known for its collaborative culture, integrity in delivery, and long-standing relationships across retail, office, industrial, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors. They are growing quickly and need a Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from planning to completion.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
  • Lead project meetings, track progress, and proactively resolve issues to maintain workflow.
  • Prepare and review RFI's, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Ensure safety standards and company quality expectations are met on every project.
  • Mentor and support project engineers and field staff as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a
    commercial general contractor
    .
  • Proven experience managing ground-up, TI, or site development projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
