Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team at a fast-paced café/restaurant environment. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for providing excellent service while accurately processing transactions. Your role will be vital in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders in a timely manner.
  • Operate the cash register and Aloha POS system to process payments accurately.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring all sales are recorded correctly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the cashier area and dining space.
  • Assist in restocking supplies as needed and help keep the café/restaurant organized.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional service during peak hours.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or quick-service fast food environment is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is an advantage, particularly with Aloha POS.
  • Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service and sales.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to help both customers and team members are crucial for success in this role.
