The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within JOID provides analytical, technical, and program support to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base. ISAG's support spans the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other agencies to deliver critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of implementation. This enables senior leaders to execute strategies for developing and sustaining a robust industrial base that meets our nation's strategic resource objectives. From policy to practice, we are a team of economic and national security professionals providing innovative solutions for our Nation's most pressing security challenges.

We have immediate need for an OSD Action Officer to provide full-time, onsite support at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities
The OSD Action Officer will support the Global Investment and Economic Security (GIES) mission to protect DoD equities from adversarial foreign investment risks at home and abroad by delivering national security risk analyses and mitigation proposals to decision makers to resolve national security concerns. The Action Officer will provide daily direct support to the Principal Director (PD) for the Office of Global investment and Economic Security. Primary responsibilities include supporting GIES strategic communication synchronization, assisting with strategic planning, participating in key meetings with the PD GIES (such as with the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy or the GIES Deputy Directors), developing executive-level briefing products and talking points; developing a dashboard of all GIES activities, products, and deliverables; and tracking actions to ensure GIES is meeting goals and objectives.

Required
Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 3-7 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and Economic Security.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience in crafting white papers, briefings, correspondence, and reports.
• Proven ability to efficiently and effectively work with Senior Executives in high-tempo environments.
• Flexibility and initiative to adapt to dynamic environments.
• Able to work fully onsite based on client needs

Desired

• Master's degree in international security, strategic studies, internation relations, or similar field.
• Staff experience in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, and other USG agencies.
• Strong knowledge of OSD organizational structure and understanding of the National Defense Strategy and DoD Acquisitions.
