20-Minute Technical Test:
Project Overview: The roles are part of the Cloud Development Services team, responsible for managing cloud infrastructure across the company. The team supports both legacy applications and modern microservice architectures, focusing particularly on the Frank Project. This project enables developers to provision temporary "sandbox" environments for development via an automated process, reducing manual maintenance and promoting best practices in treating infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the management and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud services; familiarity with Rancher and Ansible for automation and orchestration is desirable.
- Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Manage Kubernetes deployments using Argo CD, Argo Workflows, and Helm, ensuring efficient automation and orchestration.
- Develop and support automation scripts; experience with Python is considered a plus.
- Communicate effectively in English with team members, developers, and stakeholders, facilitating collaboration across distributed teams.
- Work across multiple time zones, primarily India Standard Time (IST), with overlap and coordination with the Portugal-based team.
- Collaborate closely with junior DevOps engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and implement best practices
- 6+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles.
- Strong, hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency with GitLab pipelines, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure management.
- Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes, Argo CD, Argo Workflows, Helm, and cloud-native environments.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/EFK.
- Strong understanding of Linux internals and system performance.
- Proven application of SRE practices in high-availability, always-on environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills; able to troubleshoot and implement solutions independently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams in different time zones.
- Self-motivated and autonomous; capable of identifying and resolving issues efficiently with minimal guidance
- Flexibility to work with India time zone overlap and adapt to a global distributed team schedule.
