About the Role:
We're building the most efficient platform for operating funds and investing in startups. Our Infrastructure team is small, fast-moving, and foundational to every product we build. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll elevate how we architect and scale the infrastructure that supports billions in venture assets.
You'll be designing and leading efforts to scale our production environment to support our growth, ensuring we maintain high standards for observability, reliability, and efficiency. We're not just supporting and enabling developers—we're raising the bar for the entire platform. You will have the opportunity to:
  • Architect and scale our production environments, including Kubernetes clusters and RDS-backed databases on AWS, providing hands-on technical leadership on infrastructure direction.
  • Build infrastructure automation using Iinfrastructure-as-code (e.g. Pulumi, cdk8s, ArgoCD) to improve system reliability and repeatability.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, triage incidents, and drive root cause analysis following modern SRE best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership for the infrastructure team, influencing the engineering roadmap as we scale our product and business offerings.
You are most likely:
  • Deeply experienced operating Kubernetes in production environments, and possess strong programming skills.
  • Experienced in designing and operating infrastructure end-to-end in production on public cloud.
  • Leading complex technical initiatives that enable rapid iteration across engineering teams.

AngelList has offices in a few cities, and our engineering hub in San Francisco. We're focused on hiring from this hub office so engineers and product teams can collaborate in the office at least twice per week (Tuesdays and choice between Wednesday or Thursday).
Compensation: The compensation for this role consists of a competitive base salary, performance based variable component, benefits, and equity package. The base salary for this role is $200,000+ annually but actual will vary based on a number of factors including a candidate's professional background, experience, and location.
