Job SummaryServes as a liaison between offices, departments and/or institutions and provides customer relationship expertise within targeted areas.
Based on the recent Proclamation: Restriction on Entry of Certain Nonimmigrant Workers (H-1B), VSU will not be sponsoring any new H-1B visa petitions until further notice.
ResponsibilitiesTypical Allocation of Duties:
Track and maintain customer relationships - 35
Engage in networking, public relations, customer management, and partnership opportunities
Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues or concerns - 25%
Lead in coordinating/developing/managing all aspects of customer support
Oversee the office and handle administrative requests - 20
Perform work with budgets, check requests, supervisor support, etc.
Monitor projects and staff events - 10
Monitor project progress and ensure the appropriate coverage for programs and events
Generate surveys and reports on a periodic basis - 5
Maintain customer records and provide reporting as requested
Supervision - 5
Hire and supervise student employees
Supervisor Expectations:
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service to all patrons seeking assistance via email, in person, and by telephone regarding
- Responds to inquiries and resolves discrepancies; determines appropriate corrective actions with established guidelines and refers for action when appropriate.
- Supervise customer service staff (students) and cashiering functions, card production, and provide customer care
- Procurement and storage of all campus ID card and parking and transportation supplies and equipment
- Assist in executing all opening and closing procedures daily and executing daily closeout process of cash registers, including preparing deposits (to ensure proper segregation of duties)
- Be competent in all aspects of the card and parking and transportation systems and the related equipment including cash registers, software, and printer applications.
- Manage card account activities (FLEX accounts, meal plans, and other card privileges), including providing customer service and data entry
- Manage parking account activities (Citation and permit processing)
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related area and three (3) years of related work experience.
