Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be an essential part of preparing high-quality ingredients and assisting in the overall food preparation process. Your work will help ensure that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, delivering delicious meals to our guests. Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing ingredients and components for menu items according to recipes and standards.
  • Support the cooking process by handling food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, including proper food handling and storage practices.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is prepared in a hygienic manner.
  • Help with meal assembly and plating as needed, ensuring presentation meets quality standards.
  • Support the team during busy service times by preparing ingredients in advance for efficient kitchen operations.
  • Assist with inventory management by accepting deliveries, monitoring supplies, rotating stock, and reporting shortages or issues.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with chefs and kitchen staff.

Skills

  • Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices.
  • Experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly.
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic culinary techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of food industry standards related to catering, serving, and restaurant operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
