Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during busy service hours
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality
  • Support menu planning efforts by suggesting improvements or new dish ideas based on customer feedback and culinary trends
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service flow and ensure efficient operations
  • Assist in catering events or special functions as needed, providing excellent food service to guests

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings, preferably with fine dining experience
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience in menu planning and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
  • Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
  • Excellent food industry knowledge, including kitchen experience and food service operations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
