Overview
As an Original Skiff Supervisor, you will lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced retail environment, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational excellence. You will be at the forefront of our store's success, managing daily operations, training staff, and driving sales. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver outstanding results while fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture.
What you'll do
- Supervise daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Lead, train, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize shrinkage.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and financial reporting.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and sales.
- Foster a customer-centric environment by providing exceptional service and addressing customer inquiries promptly.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, purchasing, and payroll activities to support store profitability.
- Conduct employee orientation and performance evaluations to promote growth within the team.
Experience
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with a strong focus on customer service.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, recruiting, training & development, and team management.
- Proficient in inventory management, bookkeeping, cash handling, and retail math principles.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and customers; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail sales strategies is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills with a knack for time management and multitasking in a busy environment.
- Background in merchandising, marketing, or grocery store operations is advantageous.
