Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves providing direct patient care in our ambulatory surgical setting, assisting with pre-operative and post-operative care, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient intake, assessment, and preparation for orthopedic surgical procedures
  • Monitor vital signs and document patient information accurately
  • Administer medications as directed and per physician orders
  • Provide post-operative care and patient education
  • Maintain sterile environment and infection control protocols
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies

Required Qualifications:

  • Current California LVN license in good standing
  • BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience; surgery center or perioperative experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology is a plus
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
