The Role

The Frederick Flying Cows professional basketball team is seeking a friendly, professional, and reliable group of Game Day Ushers to help create an outstanding experience for fans at all home games during the upcoming USBL season.

As part of the Game Day Operations team, Ushers will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for everyone attending Flying Cows games. Ushers are often the first and last point of contact with our fans — setting the tone for a positive and memorable experience at every event.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests as they enter the arena and assist them in finding their seats.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure all fans have an enjoyable experience.
• Monitor assigned sections to ensure fan safety, proper behavior, and compliance with venue policies.
• Assist fans with questions, directions, and general information about the venue and team.
• Support the game operations staff in handling crowd flow, seating issues, and special needs requests.
• Work closely with security and game operations to resolve any seating or fan-related concerns quickly and professionally.
• Assist with pregame setup and postgame cleanup as needed.
  Serve as ambassadors for the Frederick Flying Cows, maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude throughout the event.

Basic Expectations & Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work all home games (March–May) and select special events.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move throughout the venue.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
• Previous guest services, event staffing, or ushering experience preferred but not required.
• Must live in or be able to commute daily to Frederick, MD.

About the Frederick Flying Cows

The Frederick Flying Cows are a professional basketball organization competing in the United States Basketball League (USBL) — a growing professional league providing a platform for talented athletes pursuing their basketball careers. The league season runs from March through May, with playoffs in June. The Flying Cows are dedicated to delivering a top-tier entertainment experience while serving as a proud, community-focused organization in Frederick County.
