Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service and has product knowledge pertaining to wine and spirits.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
  • Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
  • Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure proper merchandising standards
  • Stock shelves, organize inventory, and manage stock levels regularly
  • Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and giving accurate change
  • Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
  • Assist with inventory management through stock checks and replenishment tasks
  • Support supervising staff in daily operations as needed
  • Keep the store and work space clean and sanitized

Qualifications

  • Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in retail liquor and wine
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
  • Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures required
  • Ability to perform product demos and upselling techniques confidently
  • Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management best practices
  • Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills essential for success in this role
  • Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
