Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN CNA/Home Health Aide to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role is crucial for enhancing the quality of life for those with various health conditions, including acute care needs and developmental disabilities. Again this is a PRN position to cover shifts when someone calls out.

Duties

  • Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities.
  • Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and assist with catheter care.
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers to prevent falls or injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress.
  • Collaborate with family members, healthcare providers, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.

Experience

Candidates should have experience or training in the following areas:

  • Acute care settings or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Memory care techniques for patients with cognitive impairments.
  • General caregiving practices that promote patient well-being.
  • Familiarity with home community care services.
  • Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and critical care procedures is a plus.
  • Experience in a teaching hospital environment is beneficial but not required.
