Our client is a manufacturing company. They seek a Chief Financial Officer to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate goals while advising the CEO and Board on planning and risk management
  • Lead and develop accounting, finance/treasury, and credit teams, fostering a culture of accountability and transparency
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and board reports
  • Manage working capital, cash flow, credit lines, and foreign currency hedging to support seasonal and international operations
  • Direct the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls, including J-SOX compliance and governance protocols
  • Supervise credit operations, including policy development, credit approvals, receivables aging, and bad-debt reserves
  • Drive initiatives to improve DSO, reduce delinquency, and protect cash flow while supporting commercial growth
  • Partner with sales, purchasing, and operations to optimize cost of delivery, warehouse efficiency, and vendor terms
  • Advance operational efficiency through cost-reduction, process improvement, and adoption of new technologies

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Combo experience preferred, with at least 4 years of experience in public accounting
  • Manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, logistics, or similar industry
  • Inventory experience required
  • Experience with overseeing credit is a plus
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • CPA required
