What You Will Do: 

Train and lead engineers and technical staff to meet project goals on time and within allocated resourcesPrepare plans, specifications, cost opinions, schedules, and permits for preliminary and final designs for assigned projectsCoordinate design drawings with our CAD teamWork with the marketing team to pursue opportunities and clients and prepare technical content for proposals and marketing materialsWork with financial team for preparation of fee proposals, project forecasting, reporting, and timely invoicingRegular project update meetings with team membersEffectively convey work product and project results in technical documents, interviews, and presentations

What You Will Bring: 

B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field of study.Minimum of 12 years of modeling and drainage design experience OR minimum of 10 years of modeling and drainage design experience if candidate holds a M.SLicensed PE in the State of Texas for 3+ yearsTxDOT Pre-certificationsFamiliar with Microstation, OpenRoads Drainage, XPSWMM, HECRAS, Bentley, AutoCAD, GIS and other related software programsExperience using 1D and 2D computer models to assess flood conditions and propose mitigation measuresDemonstrated leadership experience as a design engineering lead or as a project manager Experience in the design and construction of storm drain improvement systems, including culverts and bridges and/or channel modificationsExperience in the design and construction of stormwater treatment facilities, including treatment of runoff and water qualityAbility to learn/design watershed, urban streambanks, and flooding issuesExperience using various innovative technologies to solve flood, erosion, and water quality issuesFamiliar with FEMA Flood Insurance Mapping process and procedures; Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferredStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and with a project team to take a project from start to successful completionLocal project experience with City of Austin, Travis County, and surrounding municipalities and/or agencies (highly preferred)Ability to work 40 hours a weekAbility to work in Austin, TXWork is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment, occasional travel or field visits may be required to supportAbility lightly travel, mostly between Austin and San Antonio, for project needs as they arise
