Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Florence, AL, for the position of [Job Title]. The role involves maintaining public safety, responding to emergencies, enforcing laws and regulations, conducting investigations, and fostering community relations. The candidate will be expected to carry out patrols, provide assistance to citizens, and perform documentation and reporting duties as part of their daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of law enforcement principles, criminal justice procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal laws
- Proficiency in communication skills, including written documentation, report writing, and interpersonal communication
- Physical fitness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for extended periods, running, and other activities
- Decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to evaluate situations and respond effectively
- Experience or training in conflict resolution, de-escalation techniques, and fostering positive community relations
- Completion of a recognized police training academy or related certification is required
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and adapt to a dynamic work environment
- A valid driver's license
- Prior experience in law enforcement or public safety is a bonus
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred
