Mechanical Resource Group, an HVAC, hydronics, sales, and service organization, is seeking a Service Controls Technician. The Service Controls Technician will play a dual role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing HVAC systems as well as Building Management Systems (BMS).

HVAC Service Technician Duties:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including RTUs, chillers, air handlers, VRF/VRV systems, and split systems.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems

  • Replace and repair components.

Service BMS Controls Technician Duties:

  • Troubleshoot and repair Building Management Systems (BMS), including controllers, sensors, actuators, and networking devices.

  • Program and commission BMS systems to meet project requirements and customer specifications.

  • Diagnose communication and performance issues with BACnet protocol.

  • Maintain system documentation, including programming files, drawings, and sequences of operation.

  • Perform system optimization to enhance energy efficiency and system reliability.

Skills:

· 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting HVAC services issues and BMS issues OR relevent military experience.

· Good analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret plans and manuals.

· Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.

· Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.

· Strong problem solving and communication skills, both oral and written.

Requirements:

· Must possess a valid Tennessee State driver's license and a safe driving record and be able and willing to operate company-owned vehicles.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, crawl, and sit. May be required to work in restricted spaces. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and greater than 60 pounds using appropriate equipment.
