Job Summary:

Ay Que Chula is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and possess a passion for creating delicious dishes. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to a positive kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Adhere to proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and storage areas.
  • Follow proper kitchen closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
  • Assist with menu development and recipe testing as directed by the Executive Chef.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, and grinders

Skills:

  • Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role required.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Food handler's certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
