Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tower Foreman to lead and oversee the construction, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication towers. This vital role involves managing field crews, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and coordinating complex tasks related to high voltage, fiber splicing, and telecommunications infrastructure. As a Tower Foreman you will be instrumental in delivering reliable communication networks by supervising climbing operations, rigging, bucket truck work, and cabling activities. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise field service teams during tower installation, maintenance, and repair projects involving 4G/LTE, 5G, and other telecommunication systems.
  • Oversee climbing operations, rigging procedures, and cabling work to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage safety protocols rigorously during all tower activities; conduct safety briefings and ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Perform site inspections, quality control checks, and troubleshoot technical issues related to telecommunication equipment.
  • Collaborate with project managers to plan work schedules, resource allocation, and project timelines.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, safety logs, incident reports, and compliance records.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in telecommunication tower construction or maintenance with a strong understanding of high voltage and low voltage systems.
  • Verizon experience is a must
  • Skilled in fiber splicing techniques for fiber optic cables used in 4G/LTE and 5G networks.
  • Ability to perform climbing operations safely at heights on towers; certified climbing experience required.
  • Knowledge of rigging procedures for lifting heavy equipment or components during installation or repairs.
  • Experience with welding processes used in tower fabrication or repair projects.
  • Strong field service background with expertise in cabling, telecommunication systems installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership skills to manage teams effectively while maintaining a focus on safety standards.
  • Valid certifications in telecommunications safety practices; certifications related to high voltage work are a plus.
