Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician to work a 14-week assignment in the clinical lab

Travel Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Laboratory Technician

Sentara Louise Obici Hospital - Suffolk, VA

~Temporary Full Time & Swing Shift~

*May be trained to float to Sentara BelleHarbour (freestanding emergency department)

  • Temporary Full Time, 14-week assignment
  • Swing Shift
  • Hours: 11:00am-7:30pm, Monday-Friday, rotating weekends & holidays
  • $48.00/hr (MLS/MT) and $45.00/hr (MLT)
  • ASCP or AMT certification required

Overview

Performs laboratory tests; interprets results; documents and reports results. Maintains department equipment, instruments, and tools.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical or biological science or Medical Laboratory Science OR
  • Associates degree in medical technology

Certification/Licensure

  • AMT Medical Technologist (MT/MLT) or ASCP Technologist (MLS/MLT)

Experience

  • Previous blood bank experience (preferred)
