Job Summary

The

University Human Resource Management

( UHRM ) department is seeking a Benefits Analyst to support University of Utah Campus and U Health Academic. This role is responsible for researching and analyzing benefit-related matters, assisting colleagues with escalated or complex issues, and contributing to UHRM's commitment to exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and effective support for University leaders.

Reporting to a Senior Benefits Manager within the employee benefits center of expertise, the Benefits Analyst works as part of a collaborative team that administers a wide range of employee benefit plans, manages benefits billing, and resolves benefits and related payroll issues. The individual in this role will serve as a subject matter expert in employee benefits and associated transactions.

The position provides direct service to employees and departments, frequently handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism. Strong customer service skills are essential, as is maintaining current knowledge of evolving benefits regulations and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.

An employee hired into this role who telecommutes will be responsible for providing space, telephone, printing, networking and/or internet capabilities at the telecommute location and sign the University of Utah Telecommuting Agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge in the areas of benefits, PeopleSoft and CRM .

  • Will perform regular audits to validate system accuracy and is expected to be well-rounded, learning all aspects of the team's responsibilities and participating in cross-training.

  • Acts as a strong leader and example and assists the HR Solution Center as needed.

  • Assists colleagues with escalated and/or complex problems.

  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to help with and learn a variety of tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT :
