Quality Control/Analytical Technician I

SUPERVISORY DUTIES: None
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must communicate batch progression and out of spec findings with management.
Performs testing based on the Test Procedures Manual and applicable Standard Work Instructions located in US Paints Business System Manual.
Executes monthly verifications and calibrations on Analytical instrumentation to determine instrument accuracy and drifts.
Ensures all results are reported correctly and accurately on batch tickets and entered Batch Master.
Tracks progression of batch statues using BatchMaster's warehouse management system, WMS.
Creates and retains customer test reports by reporting true data.
Understands the risks and utilizes company provided Personal Protective Equipment when handling and accumulating hazardous waste to commit to a safe and healthy workspace.
Completes all other tasks, assignments, or functions, as assigned and/or required.
??Qualifications and Education Requirements?
High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Must be able to handle frequent interruptions.
Understand the need for schedule flexibility based on Production's needs.
Remain reliable and maintain good attendance.
Good problem-solving skills.
Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
Participate in all company safety, health, and environmental programs.
Physical Requirements
Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
Must be able to position self to maintain and operate equipment.
Heavy lifting is expected; exertion of up to 80 lbs. of force required.
Good manual dexterity for the use of equipment.
Ability to regularly squat and return to standing without assistance.
Ability to regularly ascend and descend stairs.
