Overview

The Double Barrel Pro Shop - Western Store is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused retail associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring an engaging shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities and prior supervisory experience are a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant retail setting with a focus on outdoor and sporting goods.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with product selection, providing knowledgeable recommendations and product demos
  • Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
  • Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
  • Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, utilizing phone etiquette when necessary
  • Supervise or assist in supervising team members as needed, fostering a positive team environment
  • Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment to ensure the store remains well-stocked
  • Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits of various items
  • Ensure the store maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming atmosphere at all times

Experience

  • Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or sporting goods environments
  • Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
  • Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly desirable
  • Familiarity with merchandising, upselling techniques, and retail math concepts such as basic math and retail math
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage customers effectively and professionally
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
