Position Title: Maintenance Team Lead - 2nd Shift

Department: Maintenance

Hours: 3:00p.m – shift end (hours may vary)

Schedule: Monday – Friday + Saturdays

Location: Holland, Michigan

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the work of the Maintenance Mechanics on 2nd shift in their assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Along with 2nd shift Mechanics, assure an on time startup of production lines.
  • Assure preventative maintenance work order completion in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Follow and enforces all applicable Request Foods safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with production Team Leader(s) to address ongoing equipment concerns.
  • Communicate with 1st and 3rd shift Maintenance Crew Leaders to prioritize work requirements.
  • Coordinate resources with fellow 1st and 3rd shift Crew Leaders to ensure the entire plant runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain equipment following all applicable safety standards and manufacturing requirements
  • Assist in maintaining cost control by efficient use spare parts.
  • Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.

Required Qualifications/ Education/ Skills

  • Candidate with previous supervisory experience is preferred
  • Good math and reading skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and repair:
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic

  • Extensive standing and walking
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
  • Repetitive motion (hands/ wrists)
  • Climbing ladders
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently. Over 50# occasionally
  • Pushing/ pulling equipment of various weights
  • Working from scissors lift

Job Environment

  • Climate: continuous 50-60 degrees; may include entry to freezer at -5 degrees
