Position Summary
This is a great opportunity to join our prescription entry team while working from home. As a pharmacy technician, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into our system. You will be essential to ensure patients receive their correct prescriptions in a timely manner, directing questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification, and entering complete prescription information once clarification is received. You will be expected to meet specified production and quality standards as defined by the management team. Through your skills and knowledge, you will offer solutions needed to help enter patient and prescription information into our system, and faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. To help support development and maximize workflow, you may be asked to perform other pharmacy functions as required.

As part of the team, you will have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your skills and experiences to work in a closed-door practice setting. The position is a work from home with training to be completed virtually. Colleagues who live within 75 miles or 1 hour, whichever is less, to the onsite facility may be required to come onsite for training, meetings, system issues, or power/internet outages. Hours vary per state operating hours, shifts are Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays (subject to change). Overtime/extended work weeks will be required when needed.

Required Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law where applicant resides.
- Arizona requires an active state technician license AND a national certification
- Florida requires an active state technician license.
- Idaho requires an active state technician license.
- Illinois requires an active state technician license AND a national certification (must be marked certified on state Illinois license).
- Pennsylvania requires an active state technician registration.
- Texas requires an active state technician license.
- Minimum of 3 months related pharmacy technician experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must reside in the state of Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas.
- A secure room free from noise and distractions, with a closing door and ergonomic-friendly work area (i.e., desk, chair).
- Must have your own internet provider that can support the virtual working environment.
- Data Entry
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail while multitasking through various programs.
- Adept at reading and interpreting prescription terminology and medications.
- Direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 10 feet of your computer and a minimum speed of 25 mbs download and 3 mbs upload. WiFi and satellite are not permitted.

Preferred Qualifications
- Has an active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
- Previous mail order or retail pharmacy experience.
- Rapid keyboarding skills while maintaining 100% accuracy.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard operating procedures.
- Able to understand and interpret Latin symbols commonly used on prescriptions medications and able to write routing correspondence.
- Recognizing, identifying, and having general knowledge of commonly used generic drugs.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. This includes the ability to calculate dosages and day-supply prescriptions.
- Ability to work using computer screens for extended periods of time.
- Proficient in troubleshooting computer issues.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$ $31.30
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
