Senior RFP Writer
The Senior RFP Writer is responsible for supporting sales and relationship management efforts through coordinating and preparing responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ) responses. The Senior RFP Writer will take a lead role on the team in developing and editing both standard and custom content. The Senior RFP Writer must be able to handle multiple projects at once and manage against numerous concurrent deadlines. The Senior RFP Writer will interact with over 150 subject matter experts across the business and must have a clear understanding of our products and services. The Senior RFP Writer may have some team leadership responsibilities including managing junior team members and helping with the intake and assignment of new requests.

Job Duties
Proposal workflow process

  • Analyze incoming RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs to determine products required, level of effort, necessary team involvement, and any company requirements
  • Create and enforce proposal timelines
  • Coordinate the RFP / RFI kick-off calls between Sales/RM and SMEs
  • Coordinate the initial Qvidian upload and pre-population of existing standard responses
  • Assign SMEs to relevant questions (sometimes up to 200 questions in a document) and send customized notification email outlining all proposal details and key information
  • Ensure the team tracker is updated daily and monitored for upcoming deadlines
  • Support team members with workloads to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Participate in deal team meetings for strategic RFPs / RFIs as needed

Proposal content development

  • Provide content strategy, development and editing support for strategic RFP responses.
  • Support junior team members with content review prior to releasing drafts to RM/Sales teams.
  • Ensure new content is reviewed and added to the standard library for future use.
  • Support development of selected executive summary memos for strategic RFPs.
  • Partner across teams to craft compelling, accurate responses with consistent messaging that is aligned to the broader business strategy
  • Ensure clarity and cohesion throughout each document
  • Coordinate other team members, requesting business partner and SMEs to support with completing exhibits and other supporting documents
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts where necessary to improve

Technology platform support

  • Identify new features of Proposal Automation tool to be applied to BBH's RFP / RFI / DDQ process to enhance user experience and reduce production time
  • Provide regular training to SMEs across InServ
  • Support all technology upgrades
  • Ongoing user management including license management, user maintenance, and license reconciliation
  • Serve as a technical expert of RFP Automation tool within BBH, including inquiry management and documentation
  • Facilitate and assist Risk and Compliance with their reviews of content on the RFP Automation tool

Special Projects

  • Support analysis of trends and insights from all RFP / RFI / DDQs produced in Investor Services to aid in strategic decision making by team leadership and stakeholders.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects, and other team/business initiatives such as win/loss analysis, Qvidian product upgrades, developing standard questionnaires

Team Leadership

  • Assist with resourcing allocations and project management
  • Engage with SMEs on a regular basis to build team relationships and review feedback, processes and content.
  • Identify strategies to improve RFP / RFI / DDQ quality and efficiency
  • Manage direct reports and create training plans
  • Provide clear handoffs across regional teams to ensure smooth transitions and keep workflows moving when deadlines are tight
  • Mentor and train intern team members

Skills And Experience

  • B/A or Equivalent
  • 5-7 years of experience writing technical proposals
  • Native-level English speaker with a strong writing ability
  • Great proofreading and copy editing skills
  • Excellent collaboration and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines (extra hours at times)
  • Ability to work on multiple proposals simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate key information quickly and effectively at the "headline" and detail level
  • Detail-oriented; comfortable following complex instructions and managing other people to deadlines
  • Familiar with financial institutions and asset gatherers
  • Proficient in Office suite of products
  • Knowledge of Qvidian or other Proposal Automation tools a plus

Salary Range
$80,000 - $120,000 base salary + annual target bonus

BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
