Job Title: Desktop Support with Windows and VMware L3

Contract

Location: Los Angeles CA (Onsite)

Must Have Skills: Windows and VMware

Scope of Work

· The selected contractor will be responsible for:

· Broadly assist project to replace/expand aging server hardware components, including both compute and storage solutions.

· Work alongside selected hardware vendor implementation team(s) to oversee/perform/validate the work.

· Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the server replacement and migration process.

· Conducting diagnostics and post-replacement tests to validate hardware functionality.

· Assisting with the migration of over 400 virtual machines to the new server hardware solution.

· Collaborating with network and system owners to ensure compatibility and performance.

· Maintaining documentation of hardware configurations and updates.

· Provide ongoing support of new server hardware post implementation.

· Ensure all activities adhere to security policies and industry best practices for data protection.

Qualified contractors must demonstrate:

· A minimum of 5 years of experience in server hardware troubleshooting and replacement.

· A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing hypervisor environments.

· Familiarity with Windows Server, VMware, and server hardware infrastructure.

· Ability to interpret technical documentation and coordinate with support teams.

· Experience with disaster recovery planning, security patching, and firmware updates.

· Understanding of data center operations, including rack management and cabling standards.

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, ensuring tasks are completed with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

· Full-time; (5) day work week (excluding offical holidays)

· Expected works hours will be determined by Management

· Primarily on-site at designated facilities, with limited flexibility for remote work as approved by Management.
