Position Summary
The Vice President of Maintenance will lead all maintenance operations across DrinkPAK's facilities, ensuring optimal equipment performance, reliability, and uptime. This executive role involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies, managing capital improvement projects, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to support the company's commitment to excellence. As a key leader in our matrix organization, this role requires regular travel between facilities to implement standardized policies, gather and disseminate best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives company-wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance strategy aligned with DrinkPAK's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Maintenance Operations Management: Oversee the maintenance of processing equipment, packaging equipment, utility systems, and site facilities to maximize equipment uptime and overall throughput.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance team, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Predictive Maintenance: Utilize predictive maintenance and analytics to drive equipment uptime and efficiency.
- Capital Projects: Drive output improvements and cost savings initiatives across the site by implementing plant-level capital improvement projects and upgrades.
- Policy Implementation: Act as the central point of contact for implementing identified maintenance policies across all facilities, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Best Practices Sharing: Regularly travel to each facility to gather and disseminate best practices, fostering a collaborative environment and continuous improvement.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the maintenance department's budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to integrate maintenance considerations into all aspects of production and product development.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in maintenance leadership roles within the food and beverage industry, with experience in multi-site operations.
- Certifications: Strong knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, excellent communication skills, and a track record of implementing successful maintenance initiatives.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel regularly between DrinkPAK facilities to support policy implementation and continuous improvement efforts.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
