Information Management Security Specialist

GTECH is seeking an Information Management Security Specialist to support its customer. The selected candidate will provide advanced technical and administrative support to manage, secure, and maintain security-related databases, websites, and digital systems. This role ensures data integrity, compliance with federal information security standards, and efficient integration of security information technology tools.

Location: Springfield VA

• Provide technical database management and administration support to effectively manage security data systems.
• Develop and implement training plans to teach new and existing staff the daily operational elements of security database management.
• Maintain and update content within security databases to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with security measures.
• Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and process documentation.
• Analyze, review, and maintain security files and records.
• Collaborate with database administrators and system engineers to ensure integration and functionality of security databases.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of continuity of operations for information systems and security environments.
• Design and generate analytical reports containing key security metrics, statistics, and performance indicators.
• Develop and maintain internal web and collaboration tools, such as SharePoint sites, security-related email groups, and portals.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and security technology enhancements.

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
• Demonstrated experience with administrative information technology (IT) tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Strong understanding of information assurance and system security fundamentals.

• Bachelor's degree in security engineering, information technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 3-6 years of experience supporting security system administration or database management.
• Experience assessing systems using NIST and DISA STIG/SRG
• Familiarity with DoD 8570/8140 compliance requirements.
• Experience developing and managing Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, including POA&Ms, risk assessments, and security plans.
