Industrial Engineer

Position Summary: Provides senior level expertise and direction in the development or modification in determining the most effective means for an organization in the utilization of capital, equipment, energy, facilities, information, material, people and other assets in making a product or offering a service. Participates in the planning utilization of facilities, equipment, materials and personnel to improve efficiency of operations. Studies products or services and requirements, using mathematical methods such as operations research, to meet requirements and to design manufacturing and information systems. Provides professional services to the organization related to measurement of work including establishment of labor standards and the review and auditing of performance to these standards. Participates in the design, develop and installation components of engineering projects that result in cost-effective methods. May supervise more junior staff members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct market research to continually innovate and brainstorm new ideas to develop

• Maintain a high level of detail while working with deadline time pressures and

• changing priorities

• Correspond with vendors on quoting, negotiating, timing and samples, production, and testing

• Manage and participate in all concept design activities from sketch ideation toCAD modeling, prototypes, and initial testing.

• Interface with engineers, and marketing personnel

• Lead, train, and mentor in-house industrial design activities

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience and Education:

• Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 0-2 years of experience.

• Six Sigma Certification

• Technical Skills:

• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner or develop alternative solutions

• Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office programs and Windows operating system

• Ability to thrive in a changing, fast-paced growing and dynamic business

• Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

• Physical Requirements:

• Extended screen time

• Long periods of sitting

• Potentially long hours

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Travel Required: Minimal
