The Technical Advisor (TA) will play a crucial role in ensuring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, guiding and advising the customer's Balance of Plant (BOP) contractor to achieve the required quality standards during the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) installation and finishing process. The TA will provide specialized technical expertise and guidance on the mechanical and electrical installations of the Nordex wind turbine and components within, ensuring adherence to all instructions and proactively preventing any deviations. The TA will interface with both the customer and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and handover.WHAT YOU'LL DOHSE Compliance: Proactively ensure HSE compliance throughout the WTG installation and finishing process, reporting any deviations.Quality Guidance: Advise the customer's BOP contractor to meet Nordex quality standards for a smooth handover to the Commissioning, Customer, and Service Department.Technical Support: Leverage strong technical knowledge to provide general support on all mechanical and electrical activities of the customer's BOP contractor and Nordex's contractors.Reporting: Document and report any quality or time deviations noticed during the WTG/WF installation, finishing, and commissioning works using the UPVISE system.Mechanical Works Oversight: Ensure all mechanical works are executed according to installation instructions and tooling maintenance requirements, advising on any deviations.Tooling Management: Oversee the reception, use, and handover of Nordex tooling, ensuring proper use and readiness throughout the project.Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct various inspections and quality control checks such as Incoming goods, Quality gate and Customer Walkdown to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.Documentation Support: Assist in managing necessary documentation for handover to the customer and BOP contractor.Customer Relationship: Build and maintain a positive relationship with the customer's BOP contractor to facilitate smooth project execution.Daily Reporting: Actively manage UPVISE Daily Progress Reports, providing live updates on supervised activities.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.WHAT YOU HAVEAssociate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent related work experience accepted.Experience in quality management and quality control processes; Wind Turbine Assembly experience preferredMinimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in mechanical, electrical, or construction fields; Wind Farm mechanical construction experience preferred.WTG on-site assembly experience required.Excellent technical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and subcontractors.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.Fluency in English and French is mandatory. Spanish and/or German is a plusMust be able to work in Canada with no Company sponsorship and have the ability to obtain a US passport.>80% travel required.Ability to spend 100% of the time at the wind farms during the construction process.Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver's license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver's abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.Ability to meet the weight requirement 120kg (265 lbs.) or less to safely utilize climbing equipment and climbing gear.Ability to successfully complete all Canadian regulatory laws surrounding pre-employment screening requirements.The pay for this role is non-exempt at $ $50.00 CAD hourly with up to a 5% bonus.
